After A 2 WEEK SUSPENSION JUDGE NAPOLITANO IS BACK … With ANOTHER BOMBSHELL! [VIDEO]
Judge Andrew Napolitano was suspended from Fox News the past week following comments he made that gave President Donald Trump ammunition to defend his “wiretapping” claims.
His claim? That three intelligence sources told him President Obama had British intelligence spy on Trump. “he didn’t use the FBI, and he didn’t use the Department of Justice… He used GCHQ. What the heck is GCHQ? That’s the initials for the British spying agency. They have 24/7 access to the NSA database. So by simply having two people go to them and say ‘President Obama needs transcripts of conversations involving Candidate Trump, conversations involving President-Elect Trump,’ [Obama’s] able to get it, and there’s no American fingerprints on this” he claimed.
It wasn’t until Trump himself, and White House press secretary Sean Spicer cited the claims, that they began to falter under scrutiny, with Napolitano unable (or unwilling) to name his sources.
Well, Napolitano is back this week, and despite the controversy, he isn’t backing away from his claims.
The Daily Caller reported, Judge Andrew Napolitano made his first appearance on Fox News Wednesday since making the claim that President Obama surveilled Trump Tower during the 2016 election nearly two weeks ago.
At his beginning of his latest appearance, host Bill Hemmer brought up the suspension, yet Napolitano said he still stands by claim.
“Yes, I do” stand by the initial claim, Napolitano stated. “And the sources stand by it.”
“The American public needs to know more about this rather than less because a lot of the government’s surveillance authorities will expire in the fall, and there will be a great debate about how much authority we want the government to have to surveil us.”
Shepard Smith was among those in Fox News who disputed Napolitano’s claims, stating succinctly “Fox News cannot confirm Judge Napolitano’s commentary. Fox News knows of no evidence of any kind that the now-president of the United States was surveilled at any time, in any way. Full stop.”
Well, now that Napolitano is back, will he reveal his sources at last? We shall see…
